Barolo is a world renown wine producing region located in Piemont, Northwest of Italy. Often known as the “King of Italian Wines”, this rich and deeply concentrated full-bodied wine easily convinces any wine drinker of its reputation.
Bartolomeo Cavalier was founded in 1924. Thru three generations, and almost a century, of viticulture and wine-making tradition, the family has strived to produce the perfect Barolo wines by well-controlled fermentation process and careful use of oak barrels, yet maintaining the style of what a traditional Barolo should be like – dense and powerful but displays austerity and elegance.
Cannubi San Lorenzo is a vineyard area that is located in and classified as one of the best viticulture production zone of Barolo. These vineyards are usually called “Crus” or “Grand Vines”. Many wine professionals, producers and negociants often regarded grapes harvested from these vineyards having high quality and a great potential in developing into excellent wines.
Very intense and with richly pronounced nose of bright red fruits, rose petals and violets, with a complex mix of toast, spice and vanilla. On the palate, it is un-mistakenly a very full-bodied, powerful, lively and chewy yet shows interesting blend of harmony and elegance. A wine with impressive, firm structure which still displays beautiful freshness that ends with a fantastic long finishing.
