According to the local peasant tradition, "Dominariu" is the name given to the farmer's main estate. They decided to name this wine, the Sardegna Terralba DOC, "Dominariu" in homage to this tradition. This wine is the very basis of Terralba's wine-producing tradition and has very much earned the right to call itself a Sardinian classic.
The "Dominariu" is created from a selection of "Bovale" variety grapes, sourced from our vineyards in Uras and Terralba.
The wine-making method for obtaining "Dominariu" revolves around devoting great care and attention to the maceration between the skins and must (duration and temperature), using frequent and gentle pump-over techniques. The end result is a wine of great breadth, fragrance and colour.
Deep red-purple colour, intense aromas dominated by ripe fruits of the forest and a soft, full-bodied, flavoursome and persistent palate.
A wine for every meal: from pasta-based first courses to red meats, cheeses and Italian cold cuts.
