Cannonau "Horreum" was named after the site where the Marcedd pond lies, the place where ancient Romans used to load their ships with grain for onward transportation to Rome. "Horreum" is an intense and eminently drinkable wine.

The winemaking process
Mashing: de-stemming followed by crushing.
Fermentation: 6 days of maceration in temperature-controlled (30°C) vats
Treatment: traditional vinification with frequent pumping every 6 hours for 15 minutes; natural sedimentation and subsequent decanting once the racking has been carried out.

Tasting Notes

The colour is an intense ruby red with garnet tints: its decidedly distinctive aroma reminds us of mature red fruits while its palate is soft, dry and persistent.
